About Our Classes

 

Class Structure & Offerings ​

Studio Hudson provides two types of ceramic instruction: single-session workshops and multi-week classes. All sessions are 2 hours long and accommodate various skill levels and time commitments. Each student receives professional instruction, clay, and all necessary tools to create their own ceramic pieces.

Materials & Services Included​

  • All required clay and tools for creating pieces

  • Initial kiln firing (bisque fire)

  • Choice of glazing options:

    • Professional glazing by our staff to your specifications

    • Self-glazing during a follow-up session

  • Final kiln firing (glaze fire)​

Important Student Information

  • All students must sign a liability waiver before using the studio facilities

  • Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 21

  • Students should wear clothing they are comfortable getting dirty, as clay work can be messy

  • The full ceramic-making process, including both firing stages, typically takes 1-2 weeks

  • Students will be notified when their pieces are ready for pickup

  • Finished pieces are stored for up to 3 months, after which they will be donated or recycled
